JULIETTE.

In the course of my Management studies in Sup de Co Reims, now called NEOMA Business School, I did my first long internship in a major recruitment agency belonging to an international group.

With this highly instructive and constructive experience in terms of process, I could confirm my decision to work into this industry as well as refine my thoughts about the context in which this professional project would develop.

I remember my direct supervisor blaming me for "spending too much time over the phone" with the candidates who were not selected. The productivity requirement that is necessary in this big structure was not really in adequacy with my intuition and my practice.

The following year, this very same intuition pushed me to decline an offer in a prestigious multinational and prefer a young Boutique recruitment agency specializing in the Fashion industry to do my graduation internship. What was the trigger? A real “coup de coeur” for the founder and a great admiration for her career.

I remember my friends and relatives were stunned as well as their objections at that time: "you're going to ruin all your opportunities", "you'll be out of the system", "you'll have no prospects of professional development", "you'll get bored and limited to a single sector", "SMB = micromanagement", etc.

The company did not have its own office yet and I began my career in a Parisian flat with cats walking around during the interviews…

I worked there for 7 years and I learnt a lot, not to say "everything"!

More than getting very deep knowledges of the industry and its professions, I built an important network made of 8,000 talents and experts as well as I acquired and refined my recruitment ethic.

In 2016, I wanted something new and explore new horizons like the Retail sector and the customer experience. I had the opportunity to have this wish granted by joining a leader agency in this sector. Again, I faced a "clash of cultures" between the very personal and almost intuitive approach I value and the "consulting firm" philosophy of this new organization.

During the summer of 2017, I met Cathrine, the founder of a ready-to-wear brand for women.

At that time, I had not even imagined I could be a freelancer, but our talks about the development challenges of her brand made me realize I may have to think about it.

One day, a recruitment mission came up and she decided I would take care of it, despite I had not yet my own official structure.

She told me that when I create my own company she would be my first client. Her support made me decide to take the risk of becoming an entrepreneur and leading this project.

This was definitely a deciding “Belle Rencontre” !

ANTOINE.

In the course of the entrepreneurial management studies I followed in Paris, I could confirm the fact I always felt drawn to fashion and creation, in every sense, during the internship I did in a fashion recruitment agency that validated my diploma. While I could have rushed headlong carrying on my studies, I’d rather start experiment this industry as a Customer Adviser for a high-end ready-to-wear brand in Paris. This significant two-year experience allowed me to understand from a hands-on perspective the issues and challenges of this multifaceted business.

When I went back to school through a HR Master from a specialised school in Paris, I had the opportunity to integrate the Supply Chain department of a great French department store brand. Implementing the HR policy of the Group was central to my job there. Over the five years I held this role, I dealt with a series of HR topics.

During this period, I socialised with many artistic environments that consolidated my deep desire to work on a daily routine with the players of this ecosystem.

Coincidentally, I met Juliette and I have been working with her for two years. I assist her in everything dealing with the recruitment missions we manage at Les Belles Rencontres. We share a common vision: put the human aspect back at the very core of our work and wonder in front of the creativity breadth the designers, artists and other inspiring people are capable of.

Salimatou

SALIMATOU.

As far as I can remember I have always been fascinated by fashion, creation and clothes. In order to take advantage of this passion, I decided to do my studies in the retail fashion and make it my living.

These past years of studies and training confirmed my choice. I am determined to grow into this sector and to work in Human Ressources and recruitment.

In 2021, I was studying for a Master in Management of Human Ressources in a business school in Paris and I had the chance to meet Juliette - a very « Belle Rencontre » - who hired me for a work-study program for 2 years.

Now I manage a part of the admnistrative work of the agency, ensure the follow-up of candidates interviews and support Juliette and Antoine on a large part of the recruitments processes.

I carry out my training with passion developing my creativity and working within a company where human relations are the principal value.
